Welcome Dr. John Kent Jackfert!
Doctor John Kent Jackfert was born in Charleston, WV where he graduated from George Washington High School in 2000. He attended undergraduate school and dental school at West Virginia University where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008.Doctor Jackfert completed a general practice residency in 2008-09 at Allegheny General Hospital, which is a level 1 trauma center, in Pittsburgh, PA. There he practiced family general dentistry, as well as working on special needs and medically compromised patients. He also did rotations in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, anesthesiology, cardiology, oncology, and emergency medicine. During his residency, he obtained over 250 hours of continuing education. He is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentists.
Doctor Jackfert is the son of Jennifer Jackfert and the late Kent Jackfert whom was a well respected oral surgeon in Charleston, WV. He has two sisters, Lindsay, an orthodontist in Charleston and Katelin, a nurse in Arlington, VA. He also has a brother whom is currently a student at WVU. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, as well as his dog, Tobi. He enjoys tennis, golf, basketball, and football; especially his beloved West Virginia Mountaineers and Pittsburgh Steelers.
